As well as being the mother of my very good friend Paula, Ann was also my P.E. teacher at school. I have always had a very strong memory of Ann looking very slim and fit, sitting cross-legged at the front of our P.E. class whilst keeping our attention by telling us jokes and amazing us all with her incredible suppleness. Even during recent years when MS restricted her physically, I still had this image of her every time I met and spoke to her - undoubtedly helped by her continued sense of humour and active mind. I know that she will be missed enormously by her family.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
